Škoda ELROQ vs. ENYAQ: Boot Space Test – What Really Fits?

Table of Contents

Which model fits your everyday life better?

The Škoda ELROQ and ENYAQ are technically very similar – but there’s one key difference: the boot. The ELROQ is 17 cm shorter than the ENYAQ. But does that really make a difference when it comes to storing luggage, groceries, or even a dog crate?

That’s exactly what I tested. In this video, I explore real-world loading scenarios and useful Simply Clever features.

Boot Size Comparison – The Numbers

Let’s start with the raw data:

ELROQ:

  • Depth: 86 cm
  • Width: 100 cm
  • Height to parcel shelf: 51 cm
  • Max loading height: 77 cm
  • Volume: 470 litres

ENYAQ:

  • Depth: 93 cm
  • Width: 100 cm
  • Height to parcel shelf: 49 cm
  • Max loading height: 73 cm
  • Volume: 585 litres

The width is identical, but the ENYAQ offers noticeably more depth – especially when folding the rear seats (up to 1.90 m vs. 1.70 m).

What Actually Fits?

I loaded both cars with the same set of items:

  • 4 suitcases (2 large, 2 small)
  • Moving boxes – how many can you fit?
  • The Škoda transport package in action

The ENYAQ clearly offers more cargo space – a definite advantage for families or those who frequently carry large loads.
But the ELROQ performs surprisingly well. If you don’t need to carry massive volumes, the more compact model may suit you just fine.

Which Features Are Truly Practical?

Both models come with clever everyday features. Key highlights include:

  • Parcel shelf and nets: In the ELROQ, the parcel shelf doubles as a folding intermediate floor
  • Transport package: Offers a second load level, though the construction differs between models
  • Front storage? Neither has a frunk – but aftermarket solutions exist

Frunk Test

I tested the Austrian aftermarket frunk:
It fits the ENYAQ perfectly – but in the ELROQ, it doesn’t sit quite right. Suitable accessories for the ELROQ may still be in development.
