MySkoda App 8.0 – That is new!

The latest update to the MyŠkoda app (version 8.0) is now available, bringing several useful improvements and new features. This major release focuses on better status visibility, optimized messaging, and an enhanced route planner.

Improved Vehicle Status Overview

The option “Automatic vehicle activation” can now be toggled directly in the status screen

new timestamp shows when the vehicle last sent data to the app

You can now immediately see if the vehicle is online or in standby mode

Explanation for “Battery Protection Limit Exceeded” Warning

The last known battery state of charge is still shown, even when this warning appears

There’s now a clear explanation for this previously confusing message

Optimized Route Planner

Known limitation: Charging stops are not transferred 1:1 to the vehicle’s system

Better visualization of charging stops, including more precise charging time estimates

You can now adjust starting and target SoC levels directly within the route

“Fire-and-Forget” Climate Control

Note: Climate control still starts with a delay in the background

The app now instantly shows “running” status, even if the vehicle is still offline

Return of Outside Temperature Display

Vehicles with SW3.x are not supported

The outside temperature is once again shown in the app

Updates are not always reliable, and this feature is only available for vehicles with SW4 or SW5

Loyalty Program

Not yet available in all markets, but Škoda plans to expand availability gradually

Collect points for actions like driving in Eco mode or regular app usage

New feature: Badges for specific achievements or milestones

Currently only available in select countries (e.g., UK, Spain, France)
